Indicator Problems

Hi All

Thanks for your help with my 97 2.3 petrol galaxy the ac swithch was on as soon as i turned it off and put a new fuse in the indicators worked toldmy wife to run around in it today but not to use ac unfortunatley i had another sos from her , smoke bellowing out from under dash i am not very popular as she had our 2 wk old and 1yr old sons in the car what else can go wrongany ideas where the smoke may have come from will be greatfully recieved. i will lok behind centre consol 1st to see if it is ac wire.

Smoke from wiring means too much current. Either incorrect fuse fitted (too large) or a wiring fault (a short between circuits)

 

If it was "bellowing out smoke" then you need to strip the dash and examine the damage. There may be significant damage to the loom making further use of the car dangerous.

Havestripped out someof dash cant even get a wiff of burning and my wife not sure how bad smoke was just stopped and fled.
